Projects

In 2015, Bare Native, along with its partners, established a new method of biological treatment for reducing harmful algal blooms.

“When you give a lake what it needs to stay healthy, weed; muck and algae problems naturally disappear”

Location: Lake Heritage, Gettysburg, PA

Coordinates: 39.8095° N, 77.1839° W

Our mission was to make Lake Heritage Healthier using our natural, sustainable and affordable mimetic technology.

Our challenge:

  • 150 Acre Hypereutrophic Lake in Gettysburg, PA.
  • Severe Internal and External Loading
  • Anoxic below 10 feet with a max depth of 45 feet
  • Sediment averaged 70% organic content
  • Copper Algaecides no longer a viable alternative

The Process:

We created a bespoke formula to service the particular needs of Lake Heritage, by testing and analysing samples from around the lake to ensure that we prescribed the correct nutrients to bring the water back to health.

Our Treatment Programme, using the prescribed nano-nutrient matrix.
